alice cooper has played with many different band members over the years, while touching upon several different musical styles. the 90-minute, 1991 homevideo, prime cuts, explores alice's career from the beginning up until the then-present time, including 24 videos of songs intercut with recollections from manager shep gordon, producer bob ezrin, celebrity fans (slash, ozzy, etc.), and of course, the coop himself. but like the early-90 's polygram homevideos from another famous theatrical band, kiss, prime cuts mostly only includes brief clips of each song, very rarely is a song featured in its entirety. still, prime cuts is a must-have for cooper fans everywhere - plenty of selections from the original alice band is featured, such as "i'm eighteen," "black ju ju," "hello hooray," "billion dollar babies," "school's out," etc., as well as analyzations of each of the original member's personalities. you'll also finally find out the scoop on alice's infamous on-stage 'chicken incident,' plus the solo-alice favs "only women bleed," "clones," "department of youth," and "how you gonna see me now." prime cuts is one of the more interesting and better hard rock documentary homevideos from the 90's, resulting in an excellent overview of alice cooper's unique career.
