• Gino's First Album is Smooth

  I have been A Gino fan for years; first discovering he's music while working at a record store in LA. His Album "Pauper in Paradise" had just been released, and we had a Promotional copy in the store that I played so often, my manager threatened to fire me. ( He give me that prom copy when I moved on, and I still own it!)
  Saw Gino in Concert that year at The Shrine and have loved his music ever since!
  But ... for some reason, I had never heard Gino's first album "Crazy Life."
  It's strange to listen to an Artists beginnings, when you are so familiar with the great music that comes later. A new artist, trying to find there sound and their "voice" is usually a disappointment.
  But to my complete surprise; "Crazy Life" is a Smooth Jazzy, Bassa Nova album, with all the early influences of Herb Albert (producer), Sergio Mendes, and Burt Bacharach: But most all, the Vannalli sound!
  This is an excellent collection of songs! Good songs! Simple smooth production. A must have for Gino fans and fans if 70" Bossa Pop Jazz.
