Reimagining Roald Dahl's beloved story for a modern audience, Robert Zemeckis's visually innovative THE WITCHES tells the darkly humorous and heart-warming tale of a young orphaned boy (Bruno) who, in late 1967, goes to live with his loving Grandma (Spencer) in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. The boy and his grandmother come across some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, so Grandma wisely whisks our young hero away to an opulent seaside resort. Bon je l'ai regardé pour voir si on pouvait le regarder en famille avec des enfants de 6 et 8 ans.. et bien c'est quand même un peu trash... trop même.. 10 ans minimum à mon avis.. Et concernant le film.. assez bof..

HEXEN HEXEN ist das amerikanische Remake des britischen Filmklassikers aus dem Jahre 1990. Bedauerlicherweise ist dieses Remake ein kompletter Reinfall, trotz bekanntem Regisseur (Robert Zemeckis) und Filmproduzenten (u.a. Guillermo del Toro). Mich überzeugte dieser Film nicht, da er grauenhaft schlechte Computer-Animationen, völlig gleichgültige Figuren und ein zu einfaches und enttäuschendes Ende hat. Auch die Story ist blass und nichtsaussagend und es mangelt generell an Spannung und Atmosphäre. Selbst für Kinder ist der Film zu wenig gruselig, beängstigend oder spassig, da es auch nur selten etwas zu lachen gibt. Wir haben deutlich mehr von einem Robert Zemeckis erwartet :-(
