Description

Joel and Ethan Coen’s career-long darkly comic road trip through misfit America began with this razor-sharp, hard-boiled neonoir set somewhere in Texas, where a sleazy bar owner releases a torrent of violence with one murderous thought. Actor M. Blood simple connu aussi sous le nom stupide de Sang pour Sang !

«Marti, je n'ai pas peur de toi...…
- Hahaha, oui, je lui dirai quand je le verrai !»
Phrase mythique.

L'humour Coen comme on le connaît plus ou moins... mais je préfère de loin "Fargo", "Big Lebowski" «No Country for old men» et "O brother where art thou ?", et pas seulement à cause de la direction de la caméra... L'intrigue, ici, est très similaire à celle de Fargo.

Dialogue un peu faible ici, dans l’ensemble, histoire aussi... le film est juste bon marché et plat, que ce soit il y a 30 ans ou pas…
C’est pas qu’il a vieilli, il n’a jamais été bon, je crois.
Elle joue bien, son mari aussi, mais l'amant, désolé, tu trouveras mieux au théâtre du village...
Je pense que les super critiques ne s'expliquent que par le potentiel culte du film, sinon je préfère regarder un thriller de samouraï de 40 ans ou un western italien, bien filmé, bien joué et intemporel, pas comme ce film plat et surestimé.

Hélas…. Je me suis trop ennuyé pour pouvoir dire que c’est un film pas mal !
Autant Spielberg a fait un vrai coup de maître avec on premier film (qui pourtant devait être un téléfilm!) «Duel», autant ce premier film officiel des frères Cohen est relativement une daube.

Frances McDormand était déjà géniale à l’époque. Elle avait déjà tout d’une grande actrice.
Quant à M. Emmet Walsh, je suis surpris de voir qu’il était déjà vieux à l’époque. Je l’ai connu à la fin des années 80 dans le Scorpion Rouge et début des années 90 dans le rôle du père de Barry Allen alias Flash… et il était vieux. Mais apparemment, il l’était déjà en 84.

Un mari jaloux demande à un détective de suivre sa femme qui le trompe. Ayant la confirmation de son adultère, il propose au détective de devenir un tueur et de liquider le couple. Il fait croire qu’il le fait, empoche l’argent et tue le mari jaloux et cocu. Par la suite, il veut quand même s’en prendre au couple.

Tout ceci m’a paru intriguant… mais après avoir vu ce film, je me rends compte à quel point c’est juste pathétique. Je pense que je vais justement ne voir que leurs films, aux deux frères, qu'à partir de Fargo et que je peux aisément sauter les précédents.

Pour tous ceux qui aiment ces chefs-d'oeuvre que sont Fargo ou No Country for Old Men, il faut absolument découvrir cette première œuvre des frères Coen.
On ne baigne pas encore dans l'humour cynique des films futurs mais ce film noir a de la "patte", respire le talent et l'originalité.
Une pépite à ne pas manquer !

ton schwach, geschichte auch... film ist einfach billig und flach, egal ob 30 jahre her odr nicht...
sie spielt ok, ihr mann auch ABER der lover sorry im dorftheater findest du bessere talente... meiner meinung nach sind die superkritiken nur auf das kultpotential zu erklären, ansonsten zieh ich mir lieber ein 40jähringen samurai-thriller rein oder ein italowestern, schön gefilmt gut gespielt und zeitlos nicht wie diese überbewertete flache schosse hier.

ein Leckerbissen! Fürwahr. Man muss allerdings über den Horizont von seicht-billigen, kommerztriefenden, aktionshaschendem Stoff schauen, - dann gefällts.

vileicht nicht für jedem aber absolut zu empfelen wem andere filme der cohen brüder gefallen hat. die bildqualität der DVD ist sehr gut für den alter des films. der preis sollte man aber senken, die DVD gibts schon seit über 1 jahr, vielleicht schon 2 und der preis ist immer derselbe, typisch columbia, egal ob 2 DVD set oder nicht wenn der film gut ist dann bleibt er teuer.

coen-humor wie er bekannt ist.. doch gefallen mir "fargo", "big lebowski" und "o brother where art thou??" besser, und das nicht allein aufgrund der kameraführung.. die handlung ist eine ähnliche wie die in fargo.. bald kommt "the man who wasn't there" auf dvd raus, checkt's ab...
