Description

Recht viele Leute sind der Meinung, dass die (meisten) Filme von Jean Rollin langweilig seien. Klar, wer für sich selbst einen guten Horrorfilm hauptsächlich an der Anzahl Gore-Effekte misst, wird von Rollin wohl nur THE GRAPES OF DEATH (Les raisins de la mort) und THE LIVING DEAD GIRL (La morte vivante) sehenswert finden. Mir persönlich gefallen jedoch viele seiner Filme wirklich gut. Und dazu gehört auch FASCINATION. O.k., auch in diesem Film gibt es einige Längen. Ja, die Story ist wirklich nicht besonders toll. Und ja, auch ich hätte gerne einige wenige «richtigen» Gore-Effekte gesehen. Egal, die tolle Atmosphäre entschädigt auch hier für vieles! Aufnahmen, Musik (bezw. die Geräuschkulisse) sind erneut hervorragend. Nur schon die – in Rollin-Filmen ja schon fast obligate – Lesben-Szene (mit traumhaft schöner Klaviermusik begleitet) gehört zu den erotischsten Szenen, die ich je in einem Film gesehen habe... Besonders die französische DVD-Ausgabe von L.C.J. bietet bei CeDe (zurzeit) ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
