I 4 maestri Ninja Kai, Maestro del Fuoco, Jay, Maestro del Fulmine, Cole, Maestro della Terra, e Zane, Maestro del Ghiaccio, affrontano Lloyd Gardamon, figlio del loro nemico numero uno, che ha liberato le minacciose tribu' dei serpenti nel tentativo di conquistare Ninjago. I piani di Llyod vanno in fumo e i serpenti lo fanno prigioniero. Sembra un improbabile scherzo del destino ma il giovane Gardamon unira' le sue forze con quelle dei maestri Ninja per riuscire a fermare il nemico che vuole gettare il loro mondo nelloscurita'. Secondo lantica leggenda, uno solo dei quattro e' destinato a diventare il Ninja Verde...
