When police officer Carter (Aaron Poole) discovers a blood-soaked man limping down a deserted road, he rushes him to a local hospital with a barebones, night shift staff. As cloaked, cult-like figures surround the building, the patients and staff inside start to turn ravenously insane. Trying to protect the survivors, Carter leads them into the depths of the hospital where they discover a gateway to immense evil.

Ok, Story und Darsteller sind nicht der Rede wert, aber die Atmosphäre und die Effekte waren ein Genuss für mich. Den Hellraiser-Vergleich mag ich nicht ziehen, aber clive barker mag schon beeinflusst haben. Vor allem Fans der Monster und Kreaturen in videogames wie silent hill, the evil whithin oder auch dead space werden das abfeiern. Ich empfehle den glorreichen hellraiser 2 mal wieder rauszukramen...

Hammer Film der gekonnt die Atmo. der 80er einfängt, die FX sind erste sahne alles Hamdmade und Story mit anlehnung an H.P.Lovecraft...was will man mehr.
