Description

On Erin Island, an idyllic fishing village off the coast of Ireland, charming inebriate Ciaran O`Shea (Richard Coyle, Pusher) is tasked with showing straight-laced police officer Lisa Nolan (Ruth Bradley, Primeval, In Her Skin) her new beat.

Not that there`s much to police, as most of the community`s troubles are caused by O`Shea himself. But strange doings are afoot: the crew of a fishing boat disappears, whales start appearing dead on the shore, and a local lobsterman catches a mysterious tentacled creature in his trap. Soon it becomes clear to O`Shea and Nolan that there`s something unnatural out there, and that it`s hungry.

So it`s time to rally the villagers, arm the troops--and head to the pub.

nicht versteht! Schwarzer Humor ist nicht gleich Komödie (und trotzdem geht er unter diese Kategorie) und da hat es trotz allem einiges dabei. Dann sind die FX klasse gemacht für das Budget und die schauspielerische Leistung ist gut. Extras sind für so einen Film auch okay (Making of's und Outtakes, sowie Trailer). Der Film wird nie langweilig. Ich habe mich blenden unterhalten gefühlt! Sicher ist nicht alles perfekt und wie so oft happert es an einigen Logiklöchern, dennoch 7 von 10 Punkte!
Es ist halt die INSEL!

Gory...? Nicht wirklich. Blutig...? Ein bisschen. Lustig...? Und wie!!! Wunderprächtig unterhaltsamer Streifen aus dem hohen Norden. Jeder mit dem gewissen Sinn für Humor wird diesen Film MINDESTENS gut finden. Gorehounds; ihr seid definitiv an der falschen Adresse. Bleibt bei der "Saw" Reihe...

ist weder funny noch gory, wie es so oft angepriesen wird. habe auch schon den begriff horror-comedy gelesen. stimmt auch nicht. man hätte aus der story viiiel mehr machen können. und äh, ab 16 - warum?

Habe den Streifen am NIFFF gesehen, hat mich Stellenweise an Shawn of the dead erinnert! Witzig, etwas blutig und - witzig!
