Der Dokumentarfilm "Inspiring Voices"porträtiert Edward Higginbottom in den letzten Wochen als Chorleiter des New College Choir, den er achtunddreissig Jahre lang leitete. Higginbottom enthüllt die Geheimnisse seiner Pädagogik und seiner Hingabe an die Chormusik in einem kritischen, bewegenden Moment seines Lebens.
Das Konzert im Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford am 31. Mai 2014 sollte verschiedene Stränge des Lebens des Chores in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zusammenführen. “Für mich ist es ein bisschen wie eine persönliche Reise durch die Musik, die ich zuerst als Student geleitet habe, zu einer Musik, die nie weit von der Spitze meines Klaviers entfernt ist.
