When family problems and a sense of worthlessness overcome Evan, he finds escape with the orphans of a throw-away society. Calling themselves T.R. ("The Rejected"), these runaways hold on to each other like family, living in abandoned houses away from the society which despises them. Suburbia is the punk rock movie, depicting with unbridled realism the lives, loves, and misfortunes of a discarded youth.

...dieser Film wurde damals (82/83?) von manchen "echten" So-Cal-Punks als realitätsentfremdet verschrien; wie dem auch sei: er ist heute Kult und ein brillantes Stück Punkgeschichte, und wer ihn nicht hat, ist selber schuld!!
