Delphine è una scrittice che ha raggiunto il successo con il suo primo romanzo, incentrato sulla figura di sua madre. Roman Polański, Meister des filmgewordenen Kammerspiels, hat erneut bewiesen, dass man auch ohne gigantischem Aufwand, ohne grosse Tricks und doppeltem Boden, einen handwerklich überzeugenden Film abliefern kann. Sicher: manches mag vorhersehbar sein, wirklich neu und überraschend kommt die Geschichte nicht daher. Aber wie Polański nebst Gattin Emmanuelle Seigner die Story präsentieren, ist allemal sehenswert.
