Sand world wurde in diesem Jahr wieder das grösste Sandskulpturen-Festival in Europa! 75 Skulpteure aus aller Welt bauen aus 9.000.000 kg Sand bis zu elf Meter hohe olympische Meisterwerke und erschaffen auf ca. 10.000 Quadratmetern direkt am Ostseestrand von Travemünde eine traumhafte Skulpturenlandschaft, die einmalig in Deutschland ist. die Ausgangsmaterialien für die Sandskulpturen sind nichts weiteres, als Wasser und Sand. Die Musik wurde geschrieben und produziert vom Hitkomponisten und ECHO-Preisträger Axel Breitung.
