die unbegrenzte Macht der Liebe (und Triebe) - dargestellt in einem meisterhaften Drama mit hervorragenden schauspielerischen Leistungen von Jeremy Irons und Miranda Richardson (und Juliette Binoche, die zwar ässerst verführerisch agiert, deren Charakter und Motive ihres Handelns leider etwas um Dunkeln bleiben). Der Abstieg bahnt sich in langsamen Schritten, aber unaufhaltsam an... bis zum endgültigen "Damage" (Originaltitel).
