Description

Ron Howard's epic romantic drama stars Tom Cruise as 19th-century Irish farmer Joseph Donnelly, who is joined in his pursuit for land and freedom in America by Shannon Christie (Nicole Kidman), the daughter of a wealthy land baron. The couple encounters a series of adventures and hardships en route to claim territory during the Oklahoma Land Rush. Robert Prosky and Thomas Gibson co-star.

Es ist einfach so. Tom Cruise ist ein exzellenter Darsteller. Wer es nicht glaubt schaue sich diesen Film an. Habe viel zu lange zugewartet, bis ich den Film gekauft habe. Nicole Kidman war damals auch noch wunderschön.( Dies hat nichts mit dem Alter zu tun) Es wäre sicherlich nochmals ein Erlebnis diesen Film im Kino zu sehen. Gefällt mir besser als "Australia".

Mein absoluter Lieblingsfilm! Alles drin von Action über Melodramatik bis Romance;herrlich erfrischend aufspielende Kidman/Cruise! Schaue diesen Film immer wieder an und kriege trotzdem nie genug davon!

Bis heute der beste Tom Cruise-Film (habe LAST SAMURAJ aber noch nicht gesehen...). Und die "Giftzwerg"-Szene von Kidman ist genial!

Dieser Film ist einfach super. Gefühlvoll und romantisch dennoch zeigt er die härte des Lebens. Vor allem aber der krasse Unterschied zwischen arm und reich ist sehr beindruckend aber irgendwie auch traurig.
