Der Film ist in Sachen Szenerie und Kostüme mit viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht und ein Genuss anzuschauen. Leider stellt sich Costner wiedermal etwas sehr selbstverherrlichend dar! Auch verliert man sehr schnell die Übersicht und den Zusammenhang der verschiedenen Handlungsstränge, wenn man sich vorher nicht einigermassen mit der Story befasst hat.
