Un gruppo di anziani professori e un giovane filologo sono alle prese con la redazione di una monumentale enciclopedia. Quando scoprono che la lingua parlata si è evoluta diversamente da come pensano decidono di "aggiornarsi" e per apprendere lo slang il filologo si mette a frequentare un`attricetta. L`amore è in agguato, ma non mancano anche risultati comici.
