when it's flat we work ! Das ist eine Philosophie, nach der man leben kann. Leider erleiden einige Sportarten, die sich zunächst aus der Lebenseinstellung und weniger aus Kommerz herausbilden, früher oder später die Vertreibung aus Shangri-la und werden als Trend zelebriert. Gut oder schlecht ? Who knows. Fazit: Die 70er Jahre in Down-Under und Surfen als Beruf können asymmetrischer nicht sein. Die Symmetrie wird in dieser Geschichte schön erzählt. Natürlich meistens glatt, aber diese Produktion soll unterhalten und weniger aufklären. Die Aufnahmen sind schön action-mässig in der Welle aufgenommen (ein tow-in kommt auch vor). Darstellung ist auch prima. Ergänzt ideal "Riding giants" und "Chasing Mavericks". Besser im O-Ton.
