    Für das Erstlingswerk von Roland Emmerich weiss der Film sehr zu überzeugen.
    Auch heute noch zieht der Film Alt und Jung in seinen Bann.
    Emmerich schafft eine herrliche Atmosphäre welche stetig zwischen kindlicher Fantasie- und unheimlicher Geisterwelt schwankt.
