Big Cartoon (Treyvon Green), a member of "the Crips", a rival gang, doesn't care whether Poobear is guilty or innocent of the shooting death of his namesake, Little Cartoon - the mere fact that Poobear is a member of an opposing gang is reason enough to hunt him down and send him to an early grave.

In a world of danger and uncertainty, Poobear's family struggles daily to survive. His mother, Darlene Young (Cynthia Berry) single-handedly holds them together and, against all odds, raises her teenage children in the ghetto.
