A debut album with 13 tracks? Released on Friday the 13th? With a song that was written in just 13 minutes?
Coincidences like these fascinate Rose McCan, the brains behind RosRain. They often have a big impact on us and our emotions. Also Lueg , the Swiss German word for look , evokes a wide range of emotions.
Until now, Rose has only been at home in Irish folk music. In search of new forms of expression, she embarked on a genre excursion and immersed herself in the world of pop for two years. During this time, she wrote these 13 swiss dialect pop songs about people in a wide variety of life situations laughing, crying, hoping, grieving, getting upset, falling in love or just having fun.
Also on board are a song based on a real ultrasound recording (#3), a completely reworked Swiss folk song (#7) and the song that suddenly found its way into Rose's arms one day (#6).
An album that takes a close look and sets emotions in motion.
