January 1945. Nazi occupied Holland lies under a blanket of snow.     Sehr gut gemachter Film, der den Krieg in einem besetzten Land aus der Sicht eines Jungen zeigt. Die Balance zwischen Krieg als Abenteuer und einem weinerlichen Antikriegsfilm wird sehr gut gehalten, so dass die Komplexität des Alltags mit all seinem Licht und Schatten, den z.T. verwischten Linien zwischen Freund und Feind, realistisch vermittelt wird.
