Desperate to escape his mind-numbing routine, uptown Manhattan office worker Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) ventures downtown for a hookup with a mystery woman (Rosanna Arquette). So begins the wildest night of his life, as bizarre occurrences—involving underground-art punks, a distressed waitress, a crazed Mister Softee truck driver, and a bagel-and-cream-cheese paperweight—pile up with anxiety-inducing relentlessness and thwart his attempts to get home. Un très bon film d'humour décalé, une nuit horrible que je ne conseille à personne. Très bien tourné, pas une minute d'ennui, ce chef-d??uvre serait bien de le retrouver doublé en français s'il vous plaît!

Komödie? Nicht wirklich. Übersehener Klassiker? Auf alle Fälle. Ein sehr stimmungsvoller, befremdender Psychothriller (mit Augenzwinkern) im Dschungel von New York.

wer das nachtleben in grossstädten liebt, auch schon selbst von irrer situation zu noch irrerer situation gekippt ist, muss diesen film lieben. auch die nebenauftritte von cheech & chong sind gold wert. what a night.
