Essentiel pour tout "Janéite" qui se respecte mais également à recommander comme parfaite introduction à l'univers feutré, ironique et subtil de Jane Austen.
Emma Thompson signe là une adaptation modèle, parce qu'elle ne s'est jamais contenté d'illustrer un classique de la littérature : elle en conservé l'esprit.
Une interprétation hors pair (Kate Winslet à ses débuts et déjà époustouflante, un Alan Rickman bouleversant et une Emma Thompson au sommet de son art) et une réalisation (Ang Lee) d'une fine complexité.
Tout simplement magnifique !
