The Rutles est un faux documentaire créé et réalisé par Eric Idle, l'un des fondateurs des Monty Python. Cette parodie des Beatles retrace la vie de quatre garçons de Liverpool qui marquèrent pour toujours le monde de la musique. On retrouve dans leur propre rôle Mick Jagger ou encore Paul Simon, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bianca Jagger sont aussi de la partie. Enfin, cerise sur le gâteau, c'est George Harrison lui-même, ami de Eric Idle et mécène des Monty Python, qui nous guide dans ce reportage surréaliste.
