help!, the follow-up film to the beatles' fantastically successful "a hard day's night", is a funfilled adventure that takes us back to a simpler era - a time when the beatles and a whole generation took themselves less seriously. and now, the film that provided the soundtrack to many of our own lives and times has been newly remastered, along with eight minutes of rare bonus footage.
help! follows the fab four on a worldwide jaunt around the globe. when a fan sends ringo an ancient sacrificial ring that becomes stuck on his finger, he becomes targeted by a group of hilariously obsessed oriental mystics, as well as an ambitious scientist who has his own plans for the ring. on the run, the beatles are chased from london to the swiss alps to the bahamas, outwitting their pursuers, singing great songs and having a ball.
as an added bonus, the help! digital video disc comes from a fully restored print made from the film's original theatrical trailer, two newsreels, silent footage of the film set and the world premiere, still photos and posters set to original radio ads, and an open radio interview that allows for a friendly "chat" with the beatles.

Knapp 30 Euro sind schon ganz schön happig. Im Angebot steht deutsche Version, aber in der Beschreibung dann: Sprache Englisch. Was soll man da jetzt glauben? Ich würde den Film nur in deutsch kaufen, weil ich ihn so im Kino gesehen habe. Na, ja mal warten, vielleicht gibt es ihn ja bald auch deutsch synchronisiert.

Wow, was für ein Monster, und zwar im positiven Sinn. Der Pöstler trägt nun wohl einen Rückenschaden davon, aber ich bin vollends glücklich. Wirklich wunderschön gemacht und für Fans der Fab Four ein absolutes Muss.

Schon erhalten, 3 Tage vor offiziellem Release!
Wunderschön gemacht, inkl. Buch, Filmkarten (wer erinnert sich noch an die?), Poster und Faksimile des Drehbuchs mit handschriftlichen Korrekturen.. Gute Dokumentation. Der Film ist inkl. Ton perfekt restauriert.
Für Fans ein Muss, sollte man aber auch sonst kaufen. Preis hoch, aber in Ordnung.
Achtung: Sprache nur Englisch, aber deutsche (und andere) Untertitel sind vorhanden.

...ich werde warten bis der Preis fällt. Dieser hohe Verkaufspreis ist unanständig. Ich glaube kaum dass der "Beatles-Konzern" es nötig hat auf diese Weise den Umsatz zu steigern.
Das Package ist aber schon toll und der Film sowieso. War Teil meiner Jugend.
