Trigger is the story of two lifelong friends, Victoria and Kathryn, who started a neighborhood band together- sort of like the Go-Go's meet Patti Smith with a little Siouxie and the Banshees thrown in. Sticking to their rock n'roll dream, they traded up bands until they begin to have real success with a hit single and a European tour. On the tour, however, things went down hill for the friends and the band.

Now it's 10 years later and a local record-label is having a benefit concert to honor women in rock; Vic and Kat are expected to attend. After their decade-long estrangement, the two women come together for dinner, the concert, and the after-party with the chance and hope of recapturing their once-magical connection.
