Description
Karl Franz è l'erede a un trono mitteleuropeo mandato a studiare a Heidelberg per imparare a conoscere il mondo e le donne. Nella città tedesca, tra feste, duelli e amori più o meno importanti e, soprattutto, tante canzoni, Karl si innamora di una giovane locandiera. L'idillio sboccia in barba alle differenze di casta, ma poi lui dovrà abbandonarla per le solite ragioni di stato. Purdom canta con la voce di Mario Lanza in un remake di un'operetta già diretta da Lubitsch nel 1927.
