Una giovane donna uccide involontariamente il suo amante e la madre la aiuta nascondendo il corpo. Un testimone però comincia a ricattarla e manda un malavitoso a riscuotere il denaro. Fra quest`ultimo e la donna nasce qualcosa, ma poiché è sposata non c`è speranza per loro. E` a questo punto che l`uomo decide di lasciarla, scatenando una serie di eventi tragici.
