Durante la guerra del Libano del 1982, quattro soldati israeliani si trovano a dirigere un carro armato. Sono tutti giovani e inesperti e non sanno a cosa vanno incontro. Gettati così repentinamente nella mischia, senza sapere realmente cos`è la guerra, capiranno che, in una situazione in cui gli ordini dall`alto sono confusi e contraddittori e in un ambiente buio e chiuso come quello del carro armato, da cui non si può vedere l`esterno chiaramente, esiste uno e un solo imperativo, per loro: sopravvivere. Obiettivo ben complicato, poiché nessuno dei quattro ha le competenze sufficienti per uscire dall`incubo.

Ich glaubte immer, Krieg sei was furchtbares und nicht was langweiliges. Ein Film, so sinnlos wie der Krieg selber.

allen vorschuss lorbeeren zum trotz. leider hab ich mehr erwartet. der film weiss irgendwie nicht so recht zu überzeugen.
da lob ich mir schon "waltz with bashir"
