Caserta 1976. Faustino Ciaramella ha 18 anni e se non trova un lavoro a fine anno dovrà partire per il servizio militare. Per adesso suona la chitarra nell'orchestra del maestro Domenico Falasco, trombettista e bidello. L'esperienza con la colorata orchestra Falasco finisce una sera di primavera a Roccamonfina. Ma per fortuna l'impresario, Raffaele Niro, ha in serbo per Faustino una grande possibilità per l'estate: lavorare per il maestro Augusto Riverberi, musicista ed ex amante della Vanoni.
