To most New Yorkers, 9/11 was more than pivotal, it was "the day the world ended" or at least the way they viewed it.

None of it made sense... not to Jake (Jacob Fishel, TV's Without a Trace), an aspiring novelist eking out a living as a sports writer, who always does the right thing... And not to his best friend Andrew (Aaron Stanford, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Hills Have Eyes), a hard-drinking Wall Street wannabe, who lives for the thrill.

The volatile Andrew hijacks Jake for a mysterious, late-night road trip away from his typewriter and a poisonous relationship. The two men are halfway to Ohio before Andrew reveals the purpose of their journey.

Jake and Andrew befriend a young girl at a rural filling station (Lily Holleman, UrFrenz) and a single mother at a local diner (Rosemarie DeWitt, Rachel Getting Married, The Company Men) while enroute to the funeral of Andrew's father.
This is a story of a lost generation emerging from the ashes of post-9/11 New York, and finding themselves again during the Northeast Blackout of 2003. But above all, How I Got Lost is the story of how friendships can shape a person's life and set you on the right path.
