Art Frankel is a small-time drug dealer who is head-over-heels in love with the luminous Cody Wesson. When she falls into a coma from an overdose, Art seeks aid from his homeless friend Harvey - and a time machine he found in the dumpster. Art embarks on a quest through time and space deep into Cody's past. What ensues is a series of increasingly reckless attempts to avoid the one thing he fears most - surrendering his love for Cody in exchange for her life.
