in the sweltering summer of 1958, the deuces, a gang of brooklyn toughs, find their turf threatened when the leader of a rival gang, the vipers, is released from prison. leon (dorff), the deuces' leader, tries to guide his boys through bloody brawls to keep the vipers out. but when his brother (renfro) falls into a sultry - and dangerous - relationship with annie (balk), the sister of a viper, and his own girlfriend is brutally attacked, leon and his gang are plunged into an all-out war to save his brother, his girl - and his neighborhood!

    Ich war ziemlich skeptisch als ich den Film gekauft habe. nun habe ich ihn gesehen und bin positiv überrascht von diesem Film, der ja angeblich von Martin Scorsese produziert wurde. Habe aber seinen Namen im Abspann nirgends entdeckt. egal, denn dieser Film zeigt eine gute Geschichte zweier Gangs, die sich in Brooklyn Anfangs der 50er Jahre einen erbitterten Kampf um ihr Revier leisten. Die Geschichte und die Schauspieler sind gut. Gibt sicher bessere Gang Filme aber er ist wirklich nicht schlecht.
