as she prepares for her wedding to david, christy receives an unexpected visit from dr. mcneill. while out riding together, dr. macneill surprises christy with the news that he has returned to cutter gap for a reason: to ask her to marry him. when a sudden storm hits and scares their horses away, dr. macneill and a very confused christy find themselves stranded in a nearby cabin. as the storm rages overnight, the rest of cutter gap seek refuge inside the mission house while in the cabin dr. macneill nurses christy, who has come down with a high fever. but as the storm passes and christy recovers, the right decision becomes as clear as the skies above. unfortunately, her decision is bound to leave one of her suitors brokenhearted.
