Description

Als junger Mann ging er einst nach England und avancierte dort zum geachteten Hochschulprofessor.

Er hinterliess jedoch einen familiären Scherbenhaufen.
Nun folgt der alte Mann dem Ruf der Heimat, wo nur mehr die Nichte Nadia und deren jugendliche Tochter Maria mit gebremster Begeisterung die Rückkehr jenes Mannes erwarten, der sich einst so wenig um Gefühle anderer scherte.

Jetzt würde er gern das eine oder andere davon ungeschehen machen, doch gerade bei Nadia sind die seelischen Wunden noch nicht verheilt.

In the twilight of his life, Emile tries to reconnect with his last living relatives: his niece Nadia and her daughter. But Emile's past is sometimes more familiar and immediate than the world before his eyes. As he tries to re-discover the family that he abandoned long ago, he is forced to confront the anxieties in his memories, the family he betrayed and abandoned at the expense of his own happiness.
