    Emmenés par le violoncelliste Mischa Maisky (1948) et sa fille Lily (1987) au piano, les 23 enregistrements du premier des deux CD rendent hommage à des compositeurs du 20ème siècle.
    L’album principal s’ouvre sur des compositions de Benjamin Britten. Pour une oreille non « aguerrie » au genre, les premiers accords peuvent sembler dissonants et froids.
    Pourtant, persévérer en vaut la peine. Une fois plongés dans les Danses populaires roumaines (Bartók) ou encore le Quatuor pour la fin du temps (Messiaen), un magnifique voyage, entre grâce, force et émotions, s’ouvre à nous. Vraiment beau.
