Norah Jones Live in New Orleans provides further reasons why many are claiming that she is the new Nina Simone. In the space of a few months her critically acclaimed debut album Come Away with Me sold millions of copies worldwide, spurred on by her phenomenal success at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards and word-of-mouth recommendations.

Recorded in August 2002 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, the concert provides an intimate, if somewhat brief showcase of a performer on the verge of the big time.
